Thanks so much for your kind feedback. I feel like I was on the tail end of this story and just benefited from having my eyes opened. I truly admire the group that has given this group of Detroit teens a purpose and vision for their lives, and am grateful to be a part of that effort.

Wow! What a great role model you make for D and B! They know there is a different life style outside of their community because you helped them see they have the skills to get them there, along with your help and guidance. A role model, or someone who will take the time to teach skills needed to get to the next social level is the best gift we can give these kids. They support and give back to their community, what a fabulous way to be involved and to help others! They also have great life skills to deal with their life style in their own community. It is not easy to deal with and I can see they have the passion to succeed.
