We’ve been running in many directions this summer, mostly for fun. For example, I spent much of last week fundraising for my son’s Japan exchange at our local art fairs. Yes, I meant to say art fairS — three or four juried art fairs take over our downtown for several days each July, with hundreds of thousands of visitors flocking the streets. Here’s a cool time lapse video posted on annarbor.com showing what it’s like:
On the flip side, Billy Coffey’s piece made me think about how, even in our quest for fun, we can miss the little things that are most important. It’s a good read, and you can read more of Billy’s work at What I Learned Today.
Hope you’re enjoying good summer runnin’, as well as lots of slow summer walkin’.
