My 14 yr. old son and I had a confrontation the other day and it was not pretty. I have not talked to him in that way, I choose to react to the buttons he pushed in a non-teachable way. I thought about what my face must have looked like to him when I was speaking my mind...not good!! My son is starting to have "the attitude" of a teenager...I've seen this with my girls, how could I forget. So,"next time," I will keep in mind how important it is to choose to be the "teacher" and not the "criticizer." Thank you for reminding me to think in the frontal lobe area of my brain!!
